👥 Grama Sabha / Ward Sabha
A Grama Sabha consists of all persons whose names are included in the electoral roll of a village within the territorial jurisdiction of a Grama Panchayat.
📌 Convener
Ward Members and Ward Councillors serve as the Conveners of Grama Sabhas and Ward Sabhas respectively.
🎙️ Chairperson
The President of the Grama Panchayat presides over the Grama Sabha, while the Municipal Chairperson presides over the Ward Sabha.
📅 Convening Meetings
The responsibility of convening and conducting meetings lies with the Ward Member who serves as the Convener.
✅ Quorum
The quorum is 10% of the total voters. Reconvened meetings require 50 members.
📝 Special Meeting
If 10% of voters submit a written request, a special meeting must be convened within 15 days.
🤝 Coordinator
A designated officer acts as Coordinator and assists the Convener.
